One mistake I see new Network Marketers doing is trying to sell their products and services as soon as they meet someone. The objective should be just to create interest. Exposure is very important in Network Marketing. People have to be exposed to something at least 4 to 8 times before they buy something. It’s difficult for even experience Network Marketers to close someone on the spot. Most people will not buy your product the first time you meet them.

You may get 1 out of 100 to buy your products or services on the spot. Most people will need a combination of exposures before they buy your products or services. I have found that the people I sponsor into my Network Marketing business need a minimum of 45 days before they sign up. I normally follow up with people I have exposed the business to every 30 days. I just believe when someone tells me “no” that means not right now. Most people will not sign up on the spot. They need to see your business opportunity again and again before they sign up.

People have just so many things they are being bombarded with. They are getting marketing messages in their email. They constantly get messages online, from newspaper and on TV. Also, the are constantly seeing marketing messages on their social media feed.

This is why people have to see your ads for your products numerous times. This is why you have to market continuously. When you are in Network Marketing, you have to always keep your marketing messages in front of people. Most people will ignore your marketing message the first time and maybe the second time. This is why you have to keep on marketing. This is what big companies like Coca Cola And McDonald’s do.

It’s simple, repeat marketing is what get people to buy your services or products. It’s all about multiple exposures. I think I’m successful with my MLM business because I try to do at least 3 exposures a day. I’m a strong advocate of prospecting and exposure. So if your goal is close people on the spot, you need to change your mindset. You need to create an interest for your product and develop a rapport with the prospect and follow up.
