Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a very passionate topic for me. This is because I have friends and family members that have issues and suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome. This condition can be very painful at time and frustrating. It is a functional bowel disease.
When individuals suffer from IBS, they have cramps and pains in their stomach. Also, they feel like they have to use the restroom. A large percentage of people in the U. S suffer with Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The pain is different for each individual. These digestive pains and flare-ups can last for several hours. Some researchers say the bowel is experiencing inflammation.
People experience IBS because they have a sensitive colon. Doctors don’t really know what cause IBS. They really don’t know why some people have stronger contraction than others when their food is going through the digestion process. Some people experience diarrhea and some people experience constipation when their digesting their food if they have IBS.
